Tigers take down Warriors

The DeQuincy Tigers have started the season 1-0 for the first time since 2016 with a 32-13 victory over the Hamilton Christian Warriors from Lake Charles this past Friday night at G. Dalton Faircloth Tiger Stadium.

Despite the field being soaked from heavy downpours, the Tigers never flinched as the offense and defense looked fantastic. Wyatt LaVergne rushed for 248 yards on 23 carries and 1 touchdown. Carson Rainwater went 7 for 15 throwing for 138 yards and 3 touchdowns. Lindsey Joyce had 2 receptions for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns. Koby Pool had 3 receptions for 57 yards and 1 touchdown.

Tigers had 383 yards of total offense. Defensively M.J. Clark had 10 tackles. Mitchell Pharris had 8 tackles. Hayz Hext had 7. Wyatt LaVergne had 6. Turner Rodriguez had 4. Cameron Joyce had 4. Ty LaVergne had 2. Koby Pool had 2. Kentrell Rogers had 2. Grant Rainwater had 1. Gunner Grove had 1.

It was a great overall team win!
