Wayne Sheffield was born Dec. 20, 1949, and passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, at the age of 74.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Sheffield; children, John Sheffield and David Sheffield and wife Eva; grandchildren, Chastidy, Logan, Alice, Ailani, and Adrian; and sister, Debbie Ellis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Bonnie Sheffield; and siblings, Lloyd Sheffield, Gene Sheffield, Norman Sheffield, and Ethel Sheffield.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, at The Sanctuary in Houston, Texas. A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, July 18, at Brookside Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
