Peggy T. Hardy was born Sept. 23, 1943, and passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at the age of 80.
Peggy worked as a nurse at St. Michaels in Texarkana, the VA hospital in Houston, and at DeQuincy Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by her siblings, Donnis Perkins and wife Joan, Christine Harrison and husband Elgie, Clyde Perkins and wife Phyllis, Connie Chism and husband Raymond, Betty Hudson, and Dean Eddleman; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Nellie McLeod Perkins; and brothers, John Perkins, James Perkins, Rex Perkins, and Gordon Perkins.
The family received friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, at Good Hope Baptist Church in Singer. Interment followed at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
