Michael Brown was born Jan. 15, 1963 and passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at the age of 61.
He is survived by his wife, Honda Brown; sons, Ryan Brown, Matthew Brown and wife Hillary; stepsons, Harley Ashworth, Nicholas Ashworth, and Samuel Ashworth; grandchildren, Jaylee, Lara, Aliya, Avery, Conner, Isabella, Juliet, Brayden, Sarah, Sawyer, Marceline, Phoebe, and Eli; siblings, Gary Brown and wife Peggy, Rodney Brown and wife Laura, Sandra Lacy (Ervie), Donna Franklin and husband Shannon, Kevin Brown and wife Shannon, Elizabeth “Sissy” Brown; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Brown; father, Roger Brown; mother, Geraldine Gearen; siblings, Ricky Brown, Tucker Brown, and Judy Brown.
The family received friends from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 31. The funeral service began at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, at Singer United Pentecostal Church, 1417 Newlin Cemetery Rd., Singer. Pastor Donnis Ashworth and Rev. Jimmy Clark officiated. Interment followed at Good Hope Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
