Gaylin Dwayne Thompson was born June 14, 1977, and passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at the age of 46. He loved being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. Gaylin loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Tara Thompson; children, Whittney Thibodeaux and husband Trey, Jaylin Edwards and husband Caden, Gavin Thompson, Cheyenne Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Silas, and Judah; grandchildren, Rosalie, Burkeley, Landon, Kaylie, and Emleigh; mother, Carolyn Thompson Bowles and husband Jeffrey; and siblings, Stacy Thompson and husband Danny and Waylin Thompson and wife Jessica.
He was preceded in death by his father, Graylin Thompson; and grandmother, Nellie Thompson.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
The family received friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Sunday, June 2, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Visitation continued from 12 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., Monday, June 3, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Streams officiated.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
