Carrie Lou Jackson was born Aug. 22, 1935, in Escambia County, Fla., and passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2024, at the age of 88.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelia Doughtary and husband Dan of DeQuincy, Sandra Holt and husband Dan of Petal, Miss., and Mary Lee of Pell City, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. “Buddy” Jackson; son, Keith Jackson; parents, Fred and Dovey Carnley; eight siblings; and son-in-law, Blake Lee.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 17, at Archusa Memorial Gardens in Quitman, Miss.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
