Patricia Fontenot Williams was born on Jan. 8, 1965. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was very family oriented and would help anyone in any way she could. If it was prayer, she prayed with you, or a listening ear, she was right there. Patricia transitioned on Thursday, Apr. 11, 2024. Patricia had a heart for God and lived to do His work. As a Missionary Evangelist she delivered God’s word and labored tirelessly in ministry. She married the love of her life Verneil Williams Sr. in 1982. During their blissful life together, they became the parents of Verneil Williams Jr, and Deneen A. Williams Ortiz.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved husband, Verneil Williams Sr.; her son. Verneil Williams Jr.; sister, Rita F. Rodriguez; a host of nieces and nephews but most of all she leaves her grandchildren whom she loved dearly and cared for: Talliyah Watson, Genesis Williams, Dominique Williams, Nakayla Williams, Eliya Alfred, Kordell Thomas, Verneil Williams III, Miguel Williams, Serenity Peoples, Leilani Williams, King Williams and Harlow Williams.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deneen A. Williams Ortiz; parents, Joseph and Mary Fontenot Sr.; and eldest siblings, Dianne F. Kennerson, Joseph Fontenot Jr, and Jerry Fontenot. Patricia, a true matriarch, will truly be missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday Apr. 27, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
