Ted Manuel was born July 29, 1948, and passed away Thursday, Mar. 28, 2024, at the age of 75. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from Corps of Engineers.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Gloria Manuel; children, Tad Manuel, Melissa Horner, and Tamara Fontenot and husband Johnathan; bonus son, Brent Phelps and wife Marsha; grandchildren, Reiley, Morgan, Alex, Wyatt, Abby, and Charlotte; and sister, Alice Manuel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edith Manuel; and 10 siblings.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SWLA Veterans Home in Jennings.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Apr. 4, at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 1610 Evangeline Rd., Jennings.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
