Simmie Lee Vida Denton, 79, died on Thursday, Mar. 4, 2021.
She is survived by her husband, Donald “Shorty” Denton; son, Dean Lucius, Jr. and wife Robyn of Shreveport; daughter, Angela Dummitt and husband Ben of Joppa, Ill.; four grandchildren; one sister, Esther Lucius of DeQuincy; and brother, Allen Ray Stovall of DeQuincy.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Donnie Sue Hughes; and parents, Sim Henry Stovall and Vida Lee Rigmaiden.
Services were held on Tuesday, Mar. 9, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Clay Fontenot officiating. Burial followed at Rigmaiden Cemetery in DeQuincy.
