William Mack “Bill” Nixon, Sr., 81, of Starks passed away on Monday, Mar. 2, 2020 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Calvin. He worked as a Boilermaker in Local 587, Orange, Texas for over 35 years. After retirement he Owned and Operated Bill’s Automotive in Starks. He was also proud to be a 32 degree Mason and belonged to the Masonic Lodge in Vinton.
He is survived by his wife, Mickie Nixon of Starks; daughter, Billie Jo Brown and husband, Robert; son, William Mack “Bubba” Nixon, Jr. and wife, Jean; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ozie Nixon; two brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Mar. 7, at Hixson Funeral Chapel in Vinton. Burial followed in Miller Annex Cemetery in Starks.
