DeQuincy Garden Club

Club officers are: President Alma Brown, Vice President Lannie Thorn, Secretary Alana Royer, Treasurer Ronald Mazilly, Scrapbooker Joy Young, and Parliamentarian Dorothy Mazilly.

The DeQuincy Garden Club is working towards beautifying the Historic District
of downtown DeQuincy. Members have landscaped the new Pocket Park and commissioned a wall mural on the northside building of the park.

The DeQuincy Garden Club is moving forward with art murals in the city’s DeQuincy Historic District. Grants have been applied for; however, contributions by interested citizens are encouraged and needed. Also donations in memory of family members, early settlers, business people and city officials, will be accepted. All clubs, churches and other organizations are encouraged to make donations as community participation in the overall beautification of the downtown area. The Garden Club appreciates all donations which may be mailed to DeQuincy Garden Club, c/o Ronald Mazilly, P. O. Box 824, DeQuincy, LA 70633.

The club meets the first Monday of each month, except June, July, and August.
