The first issue of the DeQuincy News was published on March 23, 1923 and the paper is now in its 88th year of serving DeQuincy and surrounding communities. The paper is the third oldest business in DeQuincy, with only Perkins Pharmacy and Nichols Department Store being older.
The Wises also own the Cameron Parish Pilot, which they established in 1956 and still publish.
