For over 20 years, the Federated Service League of DeQuincy has been sponsoring the Louisiana Railroad Days Festival as a means of promoting DeQuincy and its railroad heritage and to provide funds for scholarships.

Each club member is responsible for an event or function, which makes the Festival run smoothly.

The Festival is family-oriented. There are no gate fees. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed.

The League is a member of the Louisiana League of Federated Clubs and also is involved in the Libraries 2000 program.
